Home-School Engagement

Parents and the community play an exceptionally important role in children's development. Working together with parents has always been a big joy to me.

On this page, I have included a variety of take-home kits that I have created for the children to engage in with their parents at home, some parent workshops I have done as the lead of the parent-engagement team as well as termly newsletters created for the parents.

Aside from this, parents are always encouraged to participate in school events, it heartens me to see the parents help teachers out with the preparations, we also form strong bonds with the parents through the process. It truly affirms the fact that it takes a village to raise a child.

Take-Home Kits

Take home kits I have created for the K2 children in my class. Every month, 2 sets of of take home kits would be in rotation, the children will bring one set home for two weeks, thereafter, they will swap it out with another one. Over the course of the school year, take-home kits will vary in domains depending on the children's interests as well as learning needs. Parent's will also vote for/suggest take-home kits (through the class portal) that they would like to engage in with their child.

Parent Workshops

Here are posters that I have created for different workshops that I have curated for the parents. Hover over the pictures to find out more! Additionally, to prepare the K2 children for Primary school and to ease the parent's anxiety about their child attending 'big' school, here are the workshops that I have created under the umbrella of the K2P (Kindergarten to Primary) series.
